Model Electric Vehicle Right-of-Way Charging Ordinance
RCCER is pleased to offer a model ordinance for local governments that creates opportunities for electric vehicle charging for people who don't have access to off-street parking. The ordinance both encourages the installation of public utility-pole charging stations and allows private or public street-accessible chargers connected to an adjacent building. Model Safe & Sustainable Fleet Resolution & Policy
Cities and counties own and operate large fleets of vehicles, and just like private vehicles, public fleets have significant public safety and environmental impacts. This model policy shows how public agencies can lead the way by transitioning their fleets to zero-emission vehicles with intelligent speed assistance (a technology that prevents dangerous speeding), and by encouraging their employees to use other modes of transportation whenever it's possible to do so.
